    We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Student Engagement and Leadership to lead and oversee all co-curricular and curricular student engagement programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and integrate initiatives such as after-school activities, camps, special programs, student-led clubs, experiential, global and service learning. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director will play a critical role in fostering leadership, creativity, and global citizenship among students while ensuring alignment with the school’s mission, values, and academic programs.
     
     At the Lycée Français de New York, the successful candidate will work in a vibrant, multicultural community that values academic excellence, diversity, and innovation. This is their chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students, inspiring them to excel and lead with integrity.     The Lycée is seeking an Assistant Director of Admission to join its dynamic Admissions Department. This department plays a vital role in the Lycée's effort to attract, enroll, and retain a diverse and dynamic student population who will benefit from the school’s unique culture and programmatic offerings and contribute to the community. 
     
    The Assistant Director of Admission is an integral part of the Admission Office team and shares responsibilities for all the Office’s activities during the year. The Admission Office welcomes hundreds of families annually during the Admission season and processes applications for these families. It is the first and most extensive point of contact for many people’s experience with the Lycée. 
     
    The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment and works with the Associate Director of Admissions and the Admissions Operations Manager. The Assistant Director is responsible for swift and strategic follow-up on inquiries and will manage Middle and High School applications through post-enrollment. The Assistant Director is expected to collaborate with the entire office and contribute to the school’s overall admissions, enrollment, and retention goals.

    Preschool Co-Teacher
    We are looking for a teacher who: 
    • has  a bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood or Childhood Education
    • has at least 2 years of experience teaching in Early Childhood 
    • has strong writing and speaking skills in English 
    • is innovative and technology-savvy
    • enjoys collaborating on curriculum and teaching practices
    • is adaptable and flexible

    Elementary English teacher - 1st to 5th grades
    We are looking for a teacher who: 
    • has experience teaching grades 1-5
    • has training in Childhood Education with a bachelor's degree or higher

    We are looking for a teacher who:
    • holds a degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
    • has at least 2 years of experience teaching visual arts 
    • demonstrates a strong ability to teach art concepts
    • fosters creativity, self-expression, and cultural appreciation in students
    • is comfortable using technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance the art experience
    • enjoys collaborating on interdisciplinary projects and activities
    • has a commitment to promoting inclusivity and diverse artistic perspectives
    • a background in both classical and contemporary art is a plus
    English Teacher - 6th to 12th grades
    We are looking for a teacher who ideally: 
    • has an MA in English or higher
    • has at least 2 years of experience teaching English in grades 6-12
    • has strong writing and speaking skills
    • is innovative and technology-savvy
    • enjoys collaborating on curriculum and project-based learning
    • is adaptable, flexible and willing to teach several different grades through Middle School and High School

    History & Geography Teacher – 6th to 12th grades
    We are looking for a teacher who:
    • holds a degree in History, Geography, or a related field
    • has at least 2 years of experience teaching History and/or Geography

    We are seeking a teacher who:
    • holds a degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
    • has expertise in AP Calculus BC and/orAP Statistics and at least 2 years of experience teaching 
    • has experience in using the Singapore method in Middle School
    • is skilled at creating an engaging and challenging classroom environment
    • uses technology effectively to enhance mathematical understanding
    • enjoys collaborating with colleagues to develop a curriculum that meets the needs of all students

    Annual salary range
     $73,576 - $123,417
    *This pay range corresponds to steps 5 and 30 of our current salary grid which is based on full-time teaching experience.

    The Lycée Français de New York is currently looking for an Assistant to Student & Community Life to join our Vie Scolaire. The Assistant to Student & Community Life is responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of Secondary students while upholding community rules and agreements throughout the portion of the school day they oversee.
     
    The Assistant will support students in becoming their best selves, uphold rules and regulations, foster respect and responsibility, and oversee daily activities, attendance, social interactions, and student spaces during their free time and recess. They collaborate with various staff members and students to provide necessary support.
     
    In addition, they contribute to maintaining an inclusive school environment by assisting the Secondary Student & Community Life department with tasks such as maintaining a clean environment, decorating, setting up and striking for special daytime events, and overseeing student recess and special activities.
    The Assistant should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player, work well under pressure, and believe in the school’s mission and multicultural environment. At the Lycée Français de New York, the student is at the center of the system. All employees are expected to provide encouragement, offer positive reinforcement, and show respect for each student.

  • Responsable adjoint(e) du service d'orientation universitaire - Début : 18 août 2025

    The Lycée Français de New York is a leading pre-K through twelfth grade coeducational, bilingual, independent day school in Manhattan, serving 1250 students. We seek an experienced Associate Director of College Counseling to join its professional team.  Founded in 1935 and regarded as one of the most renowned bilingual, international and multicultural schools in North America, the Lycée Français de New York  is accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools, the New York State Board of Regents, and the French Ministry of National Education. The Lycée Français de New York also holds membership in the Council of International Schools. Our state-of-the-art, single-campus building is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York.
     
    The Lycée seeks a full-time Associate Director of College Counseling who will play a key role in shaping and advancing the school’s college counseling program. This position involves guiding 11th and 12th-grade students and their families through the college admission process while managing a caseload of approximately 28-32 students per grade. In addition, the Associate Director will develop, lead, and participate in programming for students in grades 9-12. All responsibilities of this position revolve around providing personalized, globally informed college admissions counseling and relevant support to students and families throughout their high school years.
     
    Reporting to the Director of College Counseling, the Associate Director will work both collaboratively and independently, helping shape the direction of the office while maintaining a student-centered approach.
     
    Salary range for this position is $130,000-$175,000 annually based on qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Programme d'échange de visiteurs (Visa J1)

Le Lycée Français de New York a été désigné comme sponsor du programme d'échange de visiteurs pour les enseignants depuis 1961.

Au cours des cinq dernières décennies, le Lycée a reçu des dizaines d'enseignants étrangers, principalement de France. Ces échanges permettent de découvrir la société et la culture américaines, ainsi que son système éducatif. Ils agissent comme des ambassadeurs de leur pays d'origine, partageant avec leurs collègues et les élèves leur propre culture et leur "savoir faire".

En effet, le programme d'échange de visiteurs du Lycée est une opportunité unique pour nos professeurs étrangers d'affiner leurs compétences professionnelles en expérimentant une nouvelle philosophie éducative et de perfectionner leur connaissance de la langue anglaise.

Une fois le programme terminé et de retour dans leurs pays respectifs, ces professeurs sont en mesure de partager leurs connaissances et expériences nouvellement acquises avec leurs pairs et, ce faisant, de contribuer à promouvoir la compréhension mutuelle entre les habitants des Etats-Unis et ceux de leur pays d'origine.
