    The Metropolitan Chapter of Jack and Jill, Inc. will host our 27th Annual School Fair/ Education Seminar at St. Bernard's School on Saturday, April 5, 2025 (School Fair: 10am-12:30pm). We extend our heartfelt gratitude to St. Bernard's School, located at 4 East 98th Street in Manhattan, for graciously hosting us this year!

    This seminar and fair is a wonderful opportunity to connect with diverse families in New York City, and to showcase the exceptional educational options available.

    Rough Cut - Student Short Film Festival

    Launched in 2010, Rough Cut is an international short film competition for budding filmmakers ages 18 and under across film genres. Past winners have gone on to study film and have careers in the industry!

    Deadline for submissions is: Monday, April 14.

    A jury of film professionals, faculty, students and past winners give awards in four categories:
    • Best Animated Short
    • Best Documentary Short
    • Best Narrative Short
    • Best Experimental Short

    The audience will also be given the opportunity to vote for its favorite movie.

    Come See Us! Parents League Kindergarten Fair

    Meet the Admissions and Preschool Team at the Parents League Kindergarten Virtual Fair 2025



    Come meet us online on Friday, April 25 at 2:30pm, ET


    Multi-day virtual fair April 21-25
    Free and open to the public, registration (here) is required.

    Join us for this unique event designed to kick-start your research into the best kindergarten programs in NYC and the tri-state area. Admissions directors and representatives from over 100 independent schools will offer 20-minute live, back-to-back Zoom sessions during PLNY's week-long virtual school fair. Learn about school philosophies, curriculums, admissions processes, and more! 

    The fair will begin Monday, April 21 with a panel discussion and run throughout the week. The event includes presentations by schools ranging from traditional to progressive, special education to Montessori-based, offering insight into the unique opportunities for schooling in the New York area.

    Saturday Morning French with Family - Session #4

    Start your weekend in French!


    Each class welcomes families in pairs: one child and a parent-guardian or caregiver in small classes of 10 pairs maximum. We offer two programs tailored to the learning needs of Preschool and Elementary School children:

    Samedi des Tout Petits - Toddlers ages 1 1/2 to 4 yrs + 1 adult
    En Famille vers le Français - Students from Kindergarten to Y5 + 1 adult

    Our programs are open to all families and feature art, music and games for adults and children to enjoy together. No prior knowledge of French is required

  • French and Francophone Cultural Fair - En Français, Oui but Why?

    Open to the Public! 

    “En Français, Oui but Why?” is an event dedicated to all Francophiles and supporters of the francophone culture in all its richness and diversity. They will have the opportunity to discover artists and professionals committed to promoting francophone culture in New York and the surrounding area. Literature, music, cinema, theater, a game of pétanque with friends and Belgian waffles to snack on - there will be something for everyone, regardless of age or interests.

  • Theater Performance: Le Mariage de Figaro

    In conjunction with "En Français, Oui but Why", the Lycée Cultural Center is delighted to present this contemporary reinterpretation of The Marriage of Figaro by Guillaume Roper-Sirvent which, while respecting Beaumarchais's language, underscores the force of his message.
    The play will be performed in French by L’Atelier Théâtre NY. Age: 11+.
    General admission $20 – students $10 - under 18 free.
