Welcome to the Lycée Français de New York, a global hub of culture, innovation, academic excellence and care. The Lycée offers a renowned bilingual curriculum in a deeply pluricultural environment that prepares children to thrive in college and far beyond.

Bienvenue au Lycée Français de New York !

We are a bilingual independent co-educational day school for over 1,200 students from Nursery-3/Petite Section to Grade 12/Terminale on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the Lycée is accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools and the State of New York.

Though we receive no funding from the French government, we are also accredited by the French Ministry of Education and part of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), a network of 535 French schools in 139 countries. Throughout their time at the Lycée, students are prepared to graduate with both an American high school diploma and the renowned French Baccalauréat.

The mission of the Lycee isn't aspirational, it's our living truth. Over the past 86 years, thousands of Lycée graduates have gone off to change the world. Alumni cite their formative years at the Lycée as the catalyst to their lives as agents of positive change in countries across the globe, and in industries and sectors we all know, love, and depend on each day.

The Lycée's rigorous bilingual academic program supports and inspires your child during their journey from Petite Section to Terminale. We offer a unique combination of resources that provide wide-ranging cultural and intellectual opportunities for all children and all interests. Our pluricultural community of families, staff, students and alumni is connected by our shared empathy, compassion, and global mindset.
